The model 1400 was made from 1964 to 1969...then it became the model 1400 MK II until 1972 then went back to model 1400 until 1974 then discontinued.
It's a flying model aircraft whose propeller is turned by an unwinding strip of rubber. Some of these planes are pretty big.
Not too sure but I do know a Sears Model 300 barrel (their clone of the 1400) will not fit a 1400 action.

Manufactured as the Model 1400 from 1964-1968. The action release was redesigned and a different checkering pattern was used.
