Top up with correct water anty-freze mix, take cap off expansion tank, turn on engine and allow to idle for 3 minuets or so, you can watch the bubbles coming up in the expansion tank. strongly massage the return pipe, big pipe on the top of the rad left side as you face it, coolant should shoot into the expansion tank as you do this. once it is cool check if you need to top up coolant mix and off you go.
ps do not take the cap of the expansion tank when the engine is hot.
The Land Rover systems are self bleeding, just fill the header tank with water, then run the car while topping the tank up as the car pumps the water around the engine. Then go for a drive and ensure the heater is hot and check the water level when you return. If you have a re-occurring problem of air in your water system it would not be uncommon to have a blown head gasket or a cracked engine block.
how do I bleed water system on the 806 peugeot
clog in radiator. drain radiator by removing cap on bottom remove cap on top fill top with water see if drains out bottom. or possibly an air pocket trapped in cooling system. make sure to bleed the air from the system.
You don't bleed the water pump, you bleed the cooling system. Just jack up the front of the car or park it on an uphill incline and remove the radiator cap. Start the engine and let it run until no more air bubbles are escaping from the radiator. If it has bleeder valves use them to bleed the system. The water pump will bleed right along with the rest of the system.
A valve to bleed out air manually
Heater hoses? freez plugs
Oh those are really good fun rear of the engine is a black pipe approx 2" diameter where this pipe fits to the water pump is where you will find it I wish you the best of luck as these are hard to get to don't forget to bleed the system after you have changed the stat
How do you remove a water pump on a 2002 land rover
on hot water heat with a boiler you should pressurize the system then open the bleeders
To bleed the cooling system on a 1996 Olds Cutlass, locate the bleed valve, which is on the front of the engine above the water pump. After making sure the cooling system is not under pressure, open the valve by turning it counterclockwise. Fill the radiator with coolant until no air comes out the bleed valve, and a stream of coolant begins to flow from there instead. Tighten the valve and close the system to finish the job.
Look for a plastic cap, looks like a dustcap on the wheel, unscrew and squeeze the bottom pipe until water is coming out, have an assistant replace the cap while you are squeezing. you can also unscrew a plug the the top of the rad an bleed it that way or u could unscrew a allenkey bolt on top of the water pump that will also bleed tha system Stoatwblr: You should bleed at all 3 points as they're all air traps. Loosen all 3 points, then tighten them up as water starts to flow from them (there will be a few bubbles to start with, wait till those stop). The order for filling is radiator, water pump, bleed cap (water flows to lowest point first, etc etc.)
Bleeding a sprinkler system involves draining the existing water from the pipes. Afterwards, the pipes should be completely dried by using an air compressor.
