It's a three tank, dual circuit air system which predates ABS and air dryers. On some models, steer axle brakes will be metered directly off the foot valve... on others, it'll feed through a quick release valve.
The brake light may be blown (bulb) or your brake light switch might not be working.
its probably not a fuse at all, but it could be your brake light switch. its under the dash hooked to the pedal. I had to replace one on my 84 t-bird
Mounted to the brake pedal arm you will find a small switch. It'll have two wires running to it. These are adjustable and sometimes just need to be adjusted. Otherwise, replace it. They are extremely cheap at any parts store.
my back brake lights don't work, but the brake light on the back door does what could be wrong
The brake lights and the tail lights are separate circuits. Check the brake light fuse, then check the brake light bulbs, then check the brake light switch.
brake switch ???
The 1996 GMC Yukon brake lights work by receiving power from the brake light relay switch. The brake light relay switch is connected to the brake pedal.
Usually that would be caused by a faulty brake light switch connected TO the brake pedal. If the brakes work the pedal is probably ok.
Defective brake light switch.
BAD BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AT TOP OF BRAKE PEDAL
brake lights dont work
Please check the Brake light switch....The brake light switch should be located near or on the brake pedal (up on the stem of the brake pedal)
