Opinion:How can anyone stop evil? All compassionate people should do their best to try, Christian or otherwise.

"All that is necessary for the triumph ofevil is that good men do nothing."

~ Edmund Burke: Irish orator, philosopher, & politician (1729 - 1797)

OpinionThe problem of good and evil is that it is of a subjective nature. Human perception results in a varied opinion on the subject of just what is good and what is evil. Certain actions are generally considered evil (such as murder, theft, rape) whereas other actions are more ambiguous (such as killing a someone to prevent rape). Because of human perception, there is no one clear definitive answer and in fact those who intend to stop evil can end up harming others or committing acts others view as evil. In fact many atrocities have been committed in the name of God, good, and religion such as the Inquisition, the Crusades, and the burning of heretics/witches. Ultimately ignorance, the lack of understanding, is a primary cause of much grief and suffering in the world. Those who choose to be ignorant rather than attempt to understand will invariably compound the problem rather than improve it. OpinionEvil is nothing more than a catagorical term for any human behavior that a particular person or group finds offensive or displeasing. Christians find Osama bin Laden's behavior to reek of evil, and he in turn finds christian behavior to reek of evil. Both viewpoints are correct when observed from the appropriate angle. Anyway...we can eliminate evil by coming to the realization that there is simply no such thing as "evil", or we can eliminate evil by eliminating all humans.

In the war between Christians and Satanists will God protect the Christians from the evil in the world?

A:If God is all-powerful and all-good, it is a necessary assumption that he will protect Christians from evil. It is also a necessary assumption that there can be no war between good and evil, because God would always win - in a mere instant. The one thing God can not do, without removing free will, is prevent the Christians themselves from committing evil.

Why do evil suffering cause some people to reject belief in god?

People may reject belief in God if they hear or see of evil and suffering because they are told he is omnipotent, omnibenevolent and onmiscience. So if they are told he is all of these then why cant he stop the evil and suffering?

Why do evil and suffering cause some people to reject belief in God?

Some people struggle to reconcile the existence of evil and suffering with the idea of a benevolent and all-powerful God. This can lead them to question or reject their belief in God's existence, as they see these things as incompatible. The presence of evil and suffering in the world can challenge their faith and raise existential doubts about the nature of God.

Why is resorretion important to christians?

The resurrection of Jesus is important to Christians because Christians see it as the resurrection that will (hopefully) one day be theirs and because it shows that Jesus did not surrender to death. The resurrection is seen by Christians as Jesus's victory over evil; evil had tried to kill Jesus, but he came back from the dead.
