the intake is the only way.
lol! On my 1997 Rodeo (v6, 3.2l) it is in the back -- the manifold must be removed to access it. lol! On my 1997 Rodeo (v6, 3.2l) it is in the back -- the manifold must be removed to access it.
You have to remove the tank to access.
There is a metal tube that runs under the intake manifold. It goes from the back of the water pump to the rear of the engine where it changes to a rubber heater hose. That metal tube is known to rust out and leak coolant. The intake manifold must be removed to gain access to the tube for replacement.
the temp sensor is located on the right side of the engine under the intake manifold on the engine block. Easiest access is from underneath. Location on engine: no special tools is need it to remove it
It is in the fuel tank, rear of tank needs lowered to access.
Under the intake manifold Between the top intake manifold and the engine block. The top intake manifold must be removed to access the starter.
Under the intake manifold, u need to completely remove your intake manifold to Access it..
The intake manifold, head, and exhaust manifold must be removed to gain access to the gasket.
The starter is located under the intake manifold and requires removal of the intake manifold to access it. Good luck!
The knock sensor (depending on engine) can reside either above the starter, or under the intake manifold. 5.7L and 7.4L knock sensors reside above the starter, passenger side of the engine. Exercise caution when removing them, as they're also blocking the water/coolant block drain on that side. 5.3L, 6.0L engines have two knock sensors under the intake manifold--so you'd need to remove the intake manifold to access them.
You need to first drain the coolant, to lessen the mess of spilt coolant. Next you have to unbolt the coolant neck at the block to access the thermostat. After replacing, you have to refill/bleed the coolant system.
it's in the down pipe coming from your exhaust manifold. you will have to remove the heat shield from the exhaust manifold to access it
