Download and install a Pavtube Video COnverter Ultimate.
Once you have the converter downloaded and installed, open it and locate the camera recordings you wish to convert to .avi format. When the file(s) appear in the viewing pane, you will need to select an 'Output Format'. Make sure the output source you choose is .avi
Next, click on the 'Output Path' and choose a destination to save the converted files.
(Note: the desktop is the best place to save converted video. You can always move it late on).
Click on Convert video. If the option is selected, you should see the actual video conversion process in the right-side viewing pane. If the conversion is successful, you will be able to import and edit the .avi clip in Windows Movie Maker.
