I know this sounds mean and stupid but I thought he was everything I wanted when we got together, but now we've been together a while I don't see my friends half as much as I used to, I went out the other night with them and realised how much I wanted to go back to that kind of life. I can't say it to him like that, he's really sensitive and i don't want to hurt him :(
Just be honest and straight about how you feel. Being a sensitive type he is going to take it hard no matter how you do it; there is no avoiding that. However in the long run he will respect you more if you do it quickly; rather than drag it out.
