The North Carolina State Archives has custody of the student academic and (in some cases) financial aid records of a number of defunct proprietary, church-supported, or other non-public schools and colleges in North Carolina.
Academic Transcripts
A non-refundable fee of $2.00 for each copy must accompany requests for academic transcripts. The fee is $2.00 per copy; requests for multiple copies should include payments in increments of $2.00 (i.e., $4.00 for two copies, etc.). The Archives cannot accept estimated payments or payments in excess of the correct fee. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources.
There is no fee for financial aid transcripts. Requests for financial aid transcripts must be accompanied by a Financial Aid Transcript form which can be obtained from the financial aid office at the college at which the student is applying. I believe they went out of business. Sorry I don't know for sure. I googled the name to get the correct spelling because I attended that business college in the early seventies, first in Abilene, then in Ft. Worth, Texas. I've seen it spelled Brantley Draughon and Brantley Draughn - I believe Draughon is correct though. Anybody else go there? I wonder where you could obtain transcripts, or copies of certificates earned?

College transcripts were transferred to Bryant & Stratton, You can request them there.
Contact the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education in Montgomery. They are the custodian of student records from closed schools.

When a college closes someone will become its custodian of records. Contact its accrediting body to find out who its custodian is, then contact them for transcript ordering costs and procedures.
No, it was open from 1908-1910. The Walkers closed it because they decided to move to Indianapolis to increase business.
