Some people can learn to draw freehand while others are just born with an artistic talent. You can take drawing lessons to help you to be better at free hand drawing.
Nope. When you trace, you become dependent of the thing you are tracing. So when it comes to drawing and you don't have anything to trace, you can't do it because that isn't what you are used to.

Jason Smith is a bad free runner, as he cannot do a lot of skills. In my opinion, Blaine Ridyard is a much better free runner, as he can do amazing stunts and tricks. Jason is lucky to be training with such a skillful free runner. Aha Jason :)
You would best refer to a map in a book. Try to free-hand draw it first. If you have trouble with free-hand, make a Xerox copy of the book picture and try tracing the outline. Next, locate the city you wish to put on the map. You can use a darkened circle to designate the city. Label the circle, right above, with the city name. Label the state name. You should probably include the capitol city too--use a star to designate it and label it.
