Look at the card and get the manufacturer name, model number, and just to be safe write down any other identification numbers or characters.
Then go to the manufacturers web site and find the drivers for that model. You may find several different "packages" to download for a specific card, just read the description of each to see if you need all the extra utilities the different pacakges provide. Then download the driver and save it someplace you can find it easily.
Then install the card (power off of course) and restart. If it's a plug and play then just point it to the place you saved the drivers you downloaded.
If the computer doesn't identify the card right click on MY COMPUTER and choose manage, then go to device manager and you should see an exclamation mark next to an unidentified device, double click that and choose driver and point it to the place you saved the download.
All past what's mentioned above is more or less autopilot and you shouldn't have to do much more than reboot at the end.
