Hi. I was once in this situation too. First, Prove your responsibility to your parents it will show you'll handle it. Thats a big thing. Now ask your parents to see if any friends or family need dogsitting. That will give you a chance of them liking it. (because who dosent like dogs) If they don't like that, AND if your very desperate act very sad about how all your friends have dogs. Also sit down and have a talk explaining your feelings. I hope this helps:)

Think about these points:

  • A dog costs about 1 to 2 thousand $/yr. Are you kicking in anything to this added family cost?
  • A dog leaves a out 100 to 200 lb year of waste. Are you picking it up? Dog vimit and urine stained carpets are a chore for you as well.
  • A dog will have to be put down in about 10 years. Is this going toe your duty?
  • If you agree to do the above chores what penalty will you incur for failure to fulfill your promise?

You could have puppies with birth defects when the parents mate with the puppies. If you plan on keeping them all together, you should neuter the puppies. The mum and dad will be interested in each other the next time the mum goes into heat.

How does one acquire papers for pure breed puppies from rescued pure breed parents with no papers?

You can't, unless the parents are registered themselves, and, if they were rescued from some shelter in the middle of nowhere, you have no idea. Plus, there is no point on getting papers on rescued puppies, even if they are purebred; the puppies are most likely poor quality; responsible breeders NEVER dump puppies or puppies parents at animal shelters, rescues or SPCA. Please, don't bother; it won't work, and you don't need to.
