trying to set up and program 2003 Nissan altima key fob
The key fob battery on a 2008 Nissan Altima is replaced by using a coin to open the rear of the case. The battery can then be popped out and a new one installed.
No
what answer!
Get in the car, close and lock all doors. Slide the key in and aout of the ignition 7 times within 10 seconds. ( all ar differtent may have to try a feww times, some work better if you slide the key slowly) . When active the the sidnal lamps will flash on the dash. turn the key to the on position. Push any key on the key fob. If it accepts the key fob the signal lamps will flash. Unlock the doors MANUALLY. The fob will be active. It is kinda tricky takes a bit of practice to get it right.
your key fob can only be programed by the local gm dealer.
With the dealers scan tool.
You'll probably need to have this done at a dealership.
take your key fob and depress both lock and unlock at the same time . the system will switch back and forth
the bastards at the dealership have to do it...had it done, not cheap.
Take it to your dealership they would be the one to help you with that.
There is a recharging port down and to the left of the steering wheel, next to the trunk release button. Insert the back end of the fob into the port and it will lock in place.
