check the codes to determine why it is lighting up. Then fix the problem, reset the code and the light should go off. A "check engine" light comes on when the computer has detected a "fault". That's typically caused by a problem with one or more sensors. Use a code scanner to read the fault code, fix the problem and the light will go out.
Yes.
The flashing engine light indicates a severe engine trouble code, for example constant engine misfire. If you pull the code with a reader, you will most likely pull up misfire on at least one cylinder.
No sorry. you gotta pull the whole instrument panel out to get to it.
You can take it to most auto parts store Auto Zone or Advance and they can hook up the code reader and reset the light. We tend to use Auto Zone for our 98 Kia Sportage the carry more parts on the shelf for it.
The Earth's external heat engine is the Sun. It constantly emits light, heat, and energy which are absorbed by the Earth.
unplug the negative side of the battery leave it off for 30 seconds. Also depends what you are trying to reset, check engine light ?
where is the low fuel light on a 2006 kia sportage i dont seem to have one
The most likely cause of this problem is a faulty engine coolant temprature sensor It will send a fault code to the ECU which will then illuminate the engine management light. It will also send false information to the ECU making the ECU believe that the engine is hot this will result in the cooling fans running constantly or coolant leakage.
If the MIL blinks at the moment the engine bucks, them its a cold stall, were the engine is about to turn off, if the light is blinking on its own, is impossible, MIL are constantly on, because its a emission related code.
This is an indication that there is not sufficient oil in the engine ! Driving could cause the engine to cease, in the worst case it would then be scrap.
The light could be burnt out.
it is the electronic stability control
