A minor can not get a car loan ithout a parent signing the papers.
Since the car is financed, it already is collateral for a loan. Your car loan uses the car as collateral for that loan. I think the only way for you to use the car as collateral for a different loan is to have the NEW lender pay off your car loan, tack the ammount of the car loan on to the new loan you are getting, therefore they would then be the leinholder on the car.
No, it is not possible. Your previous loan must be completed to get a new car loan
My sympathies to you and your family. If you, your husband or anyone else in the family didn't cosign for a loan for the car then the debt ends. If there was a cosigner then the cosigner is responsible for the debt. If your son was not a minor and took the loan out himself and he has left a Will or has anything of value this debt will be paid off or written off.
Only the LENDER can repossess the vehicle. Is this stepson a minor? If so, you have parental authority to tell him he cannot drive the car. Even if he is over 18, if you are the primary on the loan, I'll bet your name is also on the title and if it is you can just take YOUR car.
If you are a minor, you cannot LEGALLY cosign or sign any loan/contractual agreement.
The general rule...In general, a minor cannot enter into a contract. They are also not allowed to own property. The parents of the minor will technically own the property. If a parent will agree to Co-Signer the auto loan, then the minor can buy the car. However, the parent who co-signed the car will be the legal owner.
A simple one word answer in NO. In law, the contract of a minor is voidable (by the minor) not void. Practicably, lenders do not lend to a minor because it is not enforcable. But if a minor gets a co-borrower or guarantor on a loan, then he/she will have a better chance of acquiring a loan. Another way is to obtain a collateralized loan.

A minor cannot enter into a legal contract. Any loan they are a party to is invalid.
(car loan * APR + car loan) / 12/ amount of years. i think
No. They have to be 18, to be on any kind of loan

You can get out of your car loan by selling the car you have. You can also return the car to the finance company.
I'm pretty sure a minor couldn't get a loan

In car loan the loan is used for only purchase car .In a car loan, the loan is only used to buy a car, but you can use it as personal items in a personal loan.
