It all depends on the society around the place/community. In some cultures and religion (Islam as example), to have more than one wife is accepted (the rule is that You have to have the economy to have more than one wife, and the maximum is 4, but you can read more about that another time). While in western countries, having more than 1 wife is "abnormal". It can also be like the hijab. For the Islamic countries, it is seen as 'normal' to wear it, while in some other countries it is "abnormal".

A person can be viewed as normal in one community based on the accepted cultural norms and values of that community. However, they may be seen as abnormal in another community if their behaviors or beliefs contradict or go against the norms of that specific community, leading to social ostracization or stigma. Differences in beliefs, customs, and social expectations between communities can result in varying perceptions of what is considered normal or abnormal.

What does it mean if someone is normal?

What one individual feels is normal another or many others may conclude it is abnormal. Normal means that the person behaves in such a manner they fit into society. Wise individuals do not fear forging ahead in life to do something good for society or the world even if it means some people feel the person is not normal. As long as one has a good heart and tries there best there is no such thing as abnormal. Example: If an older person is suppose to act their age, but decides they want to experience sky diving and does so then some of their friends will probably think they are abnormal because it is different, but it is normal to the person doing it and they should do it. If we always fear what others think we should be then we are letting ourselves down.

The majority of people with schizophrenia have normal karyotypes. If the karyotype is abnormal, it will be a coincidence and not the cause of the schizophrenia. For example, you can have Turner syndrome (1 X chromosome) and schizophrenia at the same time, but the Turner syndrome wouldn't have caused the schizophrenia.
