how can a person can help to heal from inside after a hysterectomy that it is taking more than 12 weeks to heal, it is weet (blood inside) yet. What can I eat or drink to accelerate the healing proccess?
Spotting will continue for 2 to 8 weeks.
That you should see your doctor immediately to find out what is happening
Because of the strain on your stomach muscles and if you think about it would you want to pull out all the stitches holding everything together inside your resulting in another visit to the hospital and operation. You should be o k after a weeks or so and it is important not to overdo it for the first couple of weeks.
My sister had a vaginal hysterectomey...Recovery time is much faster than a rregular surgical hysterectomy. You will still have about 4 weeks of recovery time but it is better than the 6 weeks from a surgical procedure.
I'm going to have a hysterectomy and would like to know what is the most common medication they send home. I had a complete hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and the only medication i came home with was pain medication. I do take a multivitamin everyday though.
you should be fine.
Depends on how much, how often, and for how long you have been taking it. Any where for a few hours to a couple of weeks. It will also vary person to person.
To err on the side of caution, physicians usually say that it takes about 4 to 6 weeks to fully recover to an optimal functioning level. Wait six weeks.
Depending upon what kind of hysterectomy you have, recovery can be fast or slow. Conventional hysterectomy requires a 6 week recovery time with no sex (bummer). Laparoscopichysterectomy is usually shorter between 2-3 weeks. A woman I know had sex 1 week after a laparoscopic hysterectomy but had bleeding occur. She recovered fine though.
Presumably you mean a bilateral oopherectomy (removal of ovaries) rather than hysterectomy which is removal of uterus. Your doctor will start you on low dose of estrogen and will monitor your reaction. You may be lucky and they get the dosage right first time or it may take some weeks.
answer 1:hysterectomy ? (I don't know what a hystroctomony is)After a hysterectomy a women typically spends 1 to 2 days in the hospital for observation followed by 1 to 2 days rest at home.So barring any complications a women should be able to return to work in 1 week or less.My mother had a hysterectomy on a Monday and returned to work after only 4 days of time off; though she only worked a day (Friday) and than had the weekend (2 days off), then returned to a full scheduled week on Monday. It will vary from person to person based on age, physical condition, overall health and any complications during the surgery (for example excessive blood loss can add weeks to a recovery).---answer 2:I had one a year ago and my doctor did not want me driving for 3 weeks and I was happy not to.
I had partial hesterocty two weeks ago and now running fever 99.3
