- The quote 'laughter is the best medicine' is true. Whether a person is sad; ill; or going through some sort of a rough time they can either fold up and hide from the world, but if they can talk to someone they trust and get to a point of what fate has in store for them and realize that fate pushes people in a good direction most times then that person can poke fun at themselves and simply share a good old belly laugh with a friend which not only feels good, but it is the bodies way of releasing stress. Muscles can tighten up in the body under stress; heart can pound; upset stomachs; depression and if that person can find a comical side to that particular situation or laugh with a friend about it the laughter takes all that stress away and makes that person stronger and wiser.
