Hello,
Reverse DNS records are assigned to IP addresses. So the first step will be to determine the IP address that your mail server uses to send email. Next, you will likely need to contact your IP provider to add a reverse DNS entry.
If your IP provider has given you the ability to add rDNS, consult these two support pages:

From milliseconds to a few minutes, depending on the DNS servers between your email server and the email server of your recipient
Often it is the server that is hosting the DHCP, so it can not assign its own address. But usually its just useful if the servers always have the same IP address. For example if a server is hosting a DNS server (as company servers often do), and all the workstations in the company are looking to that IP address for DNS info, the IP addrss can not change. If the IP address of the DNS server were to change then no computers on the network would be able to resolve domain names.
No. A DNS (Domain Name Server) is more like a phone book, you supply a name (like wiki.answers.com) and get an IP address in return.Assigning IP addresses happens elsewhere, a DNS is just a convenient place to look them up.

authoritative dns server is server that has own databases that has name resolution for the clients that for resolve from name to ip address and for ip address to name. non-authorititative dns server is server that forward request of dns client to authoritative dns server for resolve.
Unbound - DNS Server - was created in 2007.
Round Robin
The primary DNS server is usually the same as the router's IP adress.
If a DNS server cannot find the answer to the DNS Query in its own database it will first query the forwarders (if there are any configured) and then ask the root server. root servers (by default) are the master DNS servers of the Internet.
The prefered DNS server for the site is the server which sends the dns zone updates to all the other servers in the site. The primary DNS zone is created on the server and it has the authority to send changes in zone to other servers
SOA is a DNS record type that specifies authoritative information about a DNS zone. SOA also includes the primary name server, the email of the domain administrator and the domain serial number to the refreshing zone.
