Best Answer

There are many reasons why biodiversity is decreasing.

We, humans play a big part in biodiversity.

We are polluting the air, and water with so much pollution, that we are killing so many living creatures on the planet Earth. We are being careless about our actions. Over time the technology that we are creating is getting better but it is also harming the Earth. We use ways like cloning and GMO to fix this problem but some people are building onto the problem. Keep in mind this info and take care of the Earth!

Why reducing biodiversity can lead to new problems?

Reducing biodiversity of a population can result in a loss of allele and reduced overall fitness, ultimately resulting in a decrease in genetic diversity. This reduced population is now vulnerable to diseases due to reduced biodiversity (e.g. Great Irish Famine).
