cancer is the mutation of cells. these cells then undergo mitosis (or divide) at a rapid pace and in an uncontrolled manner, which allows them to overtake other body organs or tissues. therefore the organs that have been taken over will eventually stop being able to carry out their functions correctly.

if a cancerous lump is not surrounded by a membrane (becomes malignant) it can then spread throughout the body via lymph nodes.

Cancer Hurts alot! not physically but amotionly. Alot of people hate talking a bout it because it is a sensitive answer. but it has to be taken seriously. if you think it will never happen to me or some one think again. i am 12 and have been majorly affected. ever time i think about some one in my family sad or cry an\bout my pop or i think about my pop it makes me sad, he had melenomia for 6 years which then spread to his liver. i was so upset i became paranioed! every time i get a new spot or mole or one of the become bigger i freak! please take my warning and if you don't then i strongly advise reading "2 Weeks With the Queen" by Morris Gleitzman, in fact i advise everyone4 to read it! i am so glad i did because it is a great book! even though it is one or the sadest!
