When swimming around coral reefs, look but do not touch. Quit driving and use a bicycle. Wear thicker clothing in winter and turn down the thermostat. Wear thinner clothing in summer and turn off the air conditioner.
You can protect coral reefs by not droping your anchor on the coral reef.Second do not poulte water.If you poulte water and drop your anchor you are killing the coral,and fish.

Coral reefs are incredibly sensitive and thus much more open to disease and damage/destruction. There are also laws in place to help protect the coral reefs and some coral reefs are protected areas much in the way national parks are often protected areas.
I like beaches more. Corals make them even more exotic.
