the fair trade act first came about in the 18th century! we think? >:(
Fair trade doesn't do anything to the chocalate its just the ingredients that are fair trade. Because we can't grow cocoa in brittain we have to get cocoa from places that can grow it. So we trade the farmers a fair ammount of something in return for the things we need to make foods or clothes or other things.
The main difference seems to be that using the term fair trade usually implies recognition by a monitoring organisation such as IFAT (the global network of Fair Trade Organizations) or BAFTS (British Association for Fair Trade Shops), whereas fairly traded can be applied to any trading that follows the principles of fair trade. As an example, a shop may sell fair trade goods that are sourced from an organisation that is an IFAT member, but if they deal directly and ethically with a disadvantaged craftsperson (adhering to the principles of fair trade) who is not in a position to have fair trade recognition, those products would be more likely to be described as fairly traded. You can find out about the principles of fair trade on the IFAT website.
Helping producers to get a good deal and not be cheated. A little bit more money can make a big difference.
fair trade is better and makes sure everyone gets paid fairly but in normal trade many people don't get paid fairly and that causes a problem
because if you do persuade others to buy fair trade products the farmers who make the fair trade will earn more money to live.
Fair trade is eco friendly because they make sure that they have organic and sustainable farming.
It depends on who you are. There is no specific answer. You will never find one. But everyone likes and dislikes different things. I personally find no difference.
You should use fair-trade so poor hard working farmers get the money they they need and with fair trade farmers who collect coco beans and make tea and coffee and other fair trade foods should get most of the profit when an item of fair trade is purchased
