They will, just as they switched from using Whale oil when it ran out but like whale oil and petroleum, it will not likely be truly renewable, it will just last longer.

If there was a new energy source, a new way to covert energy into a useful form at a low cost we would already be using it.

If we fail to find a cheaper way to use increasing amounts of energy our standard of living will decline and we will enter into a dark age that will last until we once again are able to increase our use of energy.

So can we switch? Yep no choice but we need much more energy at much lower cost and current renewables will not do that.

Whenever a new wind farm, or solar power station is built, it starts producing free, clean electricity (no carbon dioxide pollution). This electricity is sent around the country the same way as electricity from fossil fuel (coal, oil and natural gas) power stations.

So the polluting fossil fuel power stations can slow down. When we have enough renewable energy power (solar, wind, water, hydro, tidal and wave, geothermal, ocean thermal, biomass, biofuel and hydrogen), then we won't have to use fossil fuels any more.

Oil, petrol and gasoline from fossil fuel can be replaced by biofuel (biodiesel, ethylene, etc) made from renewable sources (plants and algae).

No the wind cannot be replaced by fossil fuels as it is non-renewable.

Are fossil fuels recyclable?

they are renewable resources

What resources such as fossil fuels are used up faster than they can be replaced?

Resources we cannot replace are referred to as non-renewable.

Should fossil fuels be replaced completely by renewable energy?

no

Where can renewable energy resources be used instead of fossil fuels?

Resources that cannot be replaced or are replaced much more slowly than they are used?

Fossil fuels, irreplacable resources, non-renewable energy. Things like oil and rare earth metals, id checkout the periodic table. Also there are planets with resources and elements in space that people are ideating on harvesting.

Are fossil fuels found in renewable and nonrenewable resources?

yes

What are 4 resources?

nonrenewable, renewable, fossil fuels, and oil

Resources that are not replaced by nature?

fossil fuels

How is classification of resources based on origin?

Resources can be classified based on their origin as renewable or non-renewable. Renewable resources are those that can be replaced naturally over time, such as sunlight and wind. Non-renewable resources are finite and cannot be easily replaced, such as fossil fuels like coal and oil. This classification helps in understanding their availability and impact on the environment.

What is a reason why fossil fuels are called exhaustible natural resources?

Once coal, oil and natural gas has been burned, they can't be replaced. Therefore, they are not renewable resources.

How can you obtain fossil fuels?

fossil fuels come from non-renewable (will not last forever) energy resources, these non-renewable energy resources (fossil fuels) come from CRUDE OIL, COAL, NATURAL GAS, NUCLEAR, sometimes wood and biomass - this depends on how it is extracted
