your fluid line has a leak which is allowing the oil to combine with the fuel

From what I've found, its about 60 - 65 gallons per hour.
The 65 Mustangs had a screw-on cannister on the fuel pump that had a fuel filter inside it. The filter was FG-1 and, you can still buy them from the parts department of any Ford dealership.

On a 1965 Ford F-250 , 390 V8 engine ; The fuel filter will either be in the fuel line near the carburetor , or threaded into the carburetor ( at least that was the way for every carbureted Ford V8 that I have owned )
The 65 hp Mercury outboard is designed to operate on 87 octane gasoline mixed with 2 cycle oil at a 50:1 ratio. This is roughly one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
Approximately 20 Gallons, minimum of 15 usable depending on type of fuel pickup tube attached to sending unit.
