How can i get my African cichlids to stop fighting i have 4 African cichlids and a albino tiger Oscar and the Oscar is the one being hurt?

You should NEVER try to mix African Cichlids with Amazonian Cichlids. It simply can not work. If your tank is set up properly for Africans your water conditions will be slowly killing the Oscar. Please for the Oscars sake get it out of there and in future do some homework/research before mixing species together.

Most cichlids grab mouths and wrestle when they reach maturity to check each other out as potential breeding partners. That could be what is happening.

no the Oscar will eat it. i bought an albino clawed frog and my Oscar at it the frog was in the tank for ten min. I had a couple of the albino frogs in the tank with several large Oscars and a synadontis catfish for years. Needless to say when i got the Oscars the frogs were larger than them and unable to eat them so i think that helped a lot. One of the frogs did happen to get eaten by the catfish though when I was transproting them to my new apartment.
