check fuse thirty one. a brown 5 amp fuse.
All Vauxhall cars have (in the UK) had an immobilizer fitted since 1996.
Battery light usually means alternator not charging. Most common solutions would be be a bad alternator, bad connection, or loose alt belt.
I have a 1993 silverado that was doing the same thing, and the problem turned out to be a bad regulator inside my brand new alternator. Ireplaced it and went ahead and replaced the battery, I haven't had the problem since! Hope this helps. Every jeep has had an engine controller since the early 1980's.
I'm having the same problem. The cause of the nackered battery and dead alternator could be a faulty charge relay. Try replacing this and see if the light goes out..
sometimes after replacing the battery you have to adjust the Johnson rod i have the same vehicle when i replaced the battery i just pulled the rod a little and since i have had no problems Is there another name for a Johnson rod as my car is doing the same thing. My dad has looked at it he has been a mechanic for 40 years and has never heared of a Johnson rod. The problem is driving him mad as he can't fix it for us.
If the battery hasn't been replaced since you got the scooter then it is probably time for a replacement. You can check out www.batteryinternational.com for a replacement scooter battery, or call 1-877-282-2883 and they should be able to help you find the correct replacement
Our original battery had to be replaced about 4 months ago (we have a 2005 500). The battery showed it was fully charged --- but it wasn't. This was the original battery that came in the car. You might take the battery out and take it and have it professionally checked at a parts store. We thought something else was wrong with the car since it wouldn't turn over, but it turned out to just be the battery.
If you're talking about a car battery - every five years or so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have had vehicle batteries last for 3.8 years / dead cell / replaced under battery warranty 8 years / weak when the weather turned cold 6 and 1/2 years / dead cell ( original Motorcraft battery in my vehicle ) I'm still using my replacement Motorcraft battery ( since February 2002 , now over 12 years , works fine ) * but that's not to say I go somewhere and come out to find that I need a boost because the battery has a dead cell
I recently replaced the battery in my 2003 Pontiac Vibe for $ 79.95 plus tax. I live in Canada, and if you live in the States, you probably would pay less. Keep in mind that this price does not include installation, however, the battery is easy to install. I might add that since replacing the battery my CD now works.
Possibly bad spark plug cable(s) (have you replaced them since 1996?)
