Vitamin E helps hair and nails grow longer and stronger. Essential fatty acids (flax seed oil, salmon oil) improve hair texture. The B vitamins - especially B6, biotin, inositol and folic acid; and the minerals magnesium, sulfur and zinc. The B vitamins, especially B5 (pantothenic acid and B3 (niacin), are especially important for hair growth.
Excesses of Vitamin A, on the other hand, causes hair loss.
Also, washing it only every other day rather than every day will reduce the stress on the folicals and will leave the natural oils produced by your scalp to nourish your hair.
Don't blow dry, curl, apply die or perms. Chemicals of any kind as well as heat stress the hair strands and cause them to crack, break and result in split ends.
Switching to an organic shampoo, conditioner and hair styling products will eliminate the chemicals found in traditional hair care lines.
