You fire electrons at a piece of uranium, which creates heat (or thermal energy). This heat is used to heat water up, which turns it to steam. This steam is then used to turn a turbine, which allows electricity to be created.

∙ 14y agoIn case of nuclear fission enormous heat will be produced. This heat will be used to produce steam at very high pressure. This would drive a turbine effectively and therefrom electricity is produced by the principle of electromagnetic induction.
