There are different ways for computers and monitors to be recycled. If you remember when monitors used to be big bulky screens? Well those are called CRT monitors and they contain different metals including Mercury and copper which are good for scrap metal. Plus there monitors can be donated to lower income houses or 3rd world countries. Computers on the other hand have steel, computer chips, even gold in them! If you look at the RAM in your computer and look at the 240 pins at the bottom it will have little quantity of gold on them. Since there is so little gold it can not be melted down or refurbished to be reused. Computer components can be reused multiple of times before they are shot out from ESD (Electric Static Discharge). Anyways they can donated like I said before. Be sure to contact your recycling center to be sure if you can donated or recycle your material.

In short no. but the longer answer is well, longer. when a file is deleted from explorer, it is sent to the recycle bin. when you delete it from the recycle bin, it is gone forever. the recycle bin is like an "are you sure" thingy.

What is the function of the recycle bin in the computer?

If you delete a file from your computer, it goes straight into the recycle bin. Some people think that once it has been sent to the recycle bin, it has been terminated but it just stays in the recycle bin and if you want to get that file back then you can get it by restoring it from the recycle bin. If you want to delete it permanently, delete it from the recycle bin.
