The most common solution to Sleep Apnea is CPAP therapy. CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. This is a machine that produces pressurized air into a hose that is connected to a nasal mask, full face mask, or nasal pillows. A person will wear this mask while they sleep to open up the airway so they will breathe normally through the night. When using Cpap a person with Sleep Apnea can lead a normal, fulfilling life full of energy and without fatigue.

The main form of treatment for sleep apnea is CPAP, or continuous positive airway pressure. The CPAP device consists of a flow generator, a hose and interface in the form of a mask or nasal cannula. It provides a continuous flow of air at a prescribed pressure during sleep to help keep the airway open. For those patients where the CPAP device is not tolerated, there are oral devices that can be worn that are similar to mouthguards. The main type of oral device functions by moving the lower jaw in a slightly protruded (forward) position to help open the airway and prevent the tongue and soft palate from collapsing and blocking the airway during sleep.

The C-PAP machine is a very common option for sleep apnea treatment. A CPAP machine consists of a mask that you strap to your face that feeds compressed air into your respiratory system. It is commonly used in intensive care units as a way to ensure patients continue to breathe.

There is also sleep apnea surgery, which can be something of a last resort, as some cases of sleep apnea can be very severe. These surgeries removed the soft palate, which continuously falls into the back of the throat in cases of obstructive sleep apnea.

There are also dental appliances available that are supposed to position your jaw in a way to keep your airways open.

Finally, there are natural supplements that contain lobelia, an herb used for respiratory problems for centuries, to stimulate the airways and prevent the soft palate from blocking the airways. One particular supplement that does this is called Sleep Apnea Relief.

The best way to treat sleep apnea is to have a sleep apnea or sleep disorder test completed by a trained physician or sleep study group. I had mine done at the Miami Heart Institute and I have never looked back. It has improved my productivity and life ten fold.

The solution to my problem was an integrated health program with the use of the C-Pap machine. I have used the machine for about 5 years now, and I never felt better. My sleep is quality sleep and my wife is very happy that I do not snore. Get help, more importantly do it for yourself. Part of getting healthy is to incorporate exercise, but how will you do it with no energy?

The best method is to consult with a doctor at a clinic rather than a hospital. Many sleep apnea affected patients try acupuncture or Chinese Herbal Medicine to cure internal disorders very effectively. What is most important is to prevent the disease from ever happening by taking Calcium supplements and drinking milk related products.

Sounds more like apnea. Not sure but sleep apnea is very serious. Get checked out for this. Apnea is when you stop breathing. Could be a load of things, asthma being one. Another few could be sleep apnea as mentioned above or even as severe as congestive heart failure. Get it checked. Sleep apnea is relatively common, the concern is how severely you are affected. Have a doctor check out the reason for the shortness of breath - as that should be your main concern as an increased heart rate this definitely could be a more serious issue than just apnea or asthma.
