How can people make merchandise using designs from tv shows and movies sell it on cafepress zazzle without getting sued for making money of it ...and how is it that zazzlecafepress are not sued?

On cafepress designs that break copyright law or any rule on cafepress will get CUPed sooner or later by cafepress or because somebody will report it.
On zazzle they will be removed as soon as the illegal design is found or reported.
There are some original bands and tv shows that have shops on zazzle or cafepress. Like Disney, snoopy, KISS, Deadliest Catch and so on. This ones are legal.
Because thousends of designs getting uploaded on both sites every single day it is hard to keep track of illegal designs. That's why lots of them appear in the sites for a while.
Companies can report to the customer support of both sites and illegal designs will be removed. I have never heard of a pod user did get sued. But I don't know. In hard cases I guess cafepress or zazzle will give your data to the company for further steps.
