Either the disc is faulty or whatever is reading the disc is compromised in some way.
A disc can easily be cleaned with a soft cloth and light water. If this does not help, the disc may need to be resurfaced.
You'll get an unreadable disc message
it is scratched or dirty. wash it with a damp cloth or sometimes just put the disc tray in then out again.
I had the same problem because my xbox was on an unlevel surface. If this isn't the problem, maybe you should try calling customer support.
A computer game can not be played in a PS3. Once I put a disc in a PS3 for a DVD that the Copy did not work and it got stuck in my PS3.It was a little trouble getting it out because the eject didn't work. Once I got the disc out everything was fine. I just had to unplug the PS3. But that's worse case and a result of when I did not listen when it said it was unreadable and tried again. It was not a computer game, but the same thing happens if you try to play any unreadable disc. The PS3 tells you it is unreadable and you eject it.
Put toothpaste on it it may work for minor scratches but im trying it now and i gonna check if it works if not take it to a repair disc shop
Software will not fix an unreadable disc because it is scratched. PS2 game Discs are not rewriteable and can not be changed so there would be nothing for the software to fix on the disc unless it was a bootleg copy
If the CD is unreadable, contact Microsoft about getting a replacement disc.
A floppy disc use a magnetic pattern to store data, and loudspeakers are usually based around a (strong) magnet. The magnet can upset the magnetic pattern, making the data unreadable.
Call the Xbox help number (1-800-469-9269) I don't know if it works in other countrys (not the USA) but you want to try that, because you might have to get your xbox repaired. If this is only one disc, then try another disc of the same game. Hope this helps. HotKookies
step 1: get your disc and toothpaste Step 2: but the toothpaste on the scratches Step 3: light your penis on fire Step 4: clean off the disc with water Step 5: put the disc in a paper shredder Step 6: Put the scraps of the disc in the xbox console - hope that my advice worked
The types of drives that use these disks have an adjustable head that reads the disk. An expert can slightly adjust the head so that it can read data that is otherwise unreadable. There is also software that allows you to read data in very small fragments. This can allow pieces of data to be recovered and then reassembled in an attempt to recover data that is unreadable.
