By the smell of the explosive
The most obvious answer, for me, is that police dogs can respond consistently and quickly to commands. Police dogs also know their chain of command: they are not dominant. Depending on what the police dog has been trained for, they can also detect bombs, drugs, cadavers. These dogs are also trained to apprehend persons (only when told by their handler), and are trained to do so in a way that will not allow for the suspect to sue the handler/police agency.
They sure do! Their specialty is finding bombs and drugs.
police dogs are trained to sniff out drugs and other dangerous stuff such as like bombs.
Dogs have a very ood sense of smell. They are trained to smell bombs and drus. Then they bark and the police officers take the bad stuff out. Those dogs could save your life.
they can smell drugs or smell arson stuff like bombs and they usually work for police.
If it is a police trained k-nine unit dog, then it can detect alcohol by sense of smell as well as drugs.
The dogs are the same. Most being the same breed of dog. The difference is the training they receive. One trained to detect drugs and the other to detect bombs the same way you might train your dog to sit or stay.
Yes if the bomb explode near them or if they inhale some of the drugs
German shepherd dogs are the best at being loyal to their owners and at what they are doing. Especially when they are helping that police and the military when they are looking for bombs or drugs if they're working with police too...
Usually explosions and loud noises are a give awayAns2 most explosives have faint but distinctive odours. These are very evident to dogs and consequently many dogs have been taught to detect bombs. These brave dogs in military service have saved the lives of thousands of British, Canadian, American and Dutch servicemen in the barrlefields of the world, particularly Afghanistan.
No, not all police have dogs. There is a K-9 unit for police with dogs though.
