You mean you are buying a house and have filed for BK?
if your in C-13, you must have approval of the trustee.
If your in/discharged from C-7, it seems like it would be impossible more than anything...you don't have money for a downpayment (that had to go to creditors and is no longer under your control), and of course, you won't be able to get a loan of any type...not just a mortgage, for some time.
Once a person's bankruptcy has been discharged and they have gone through credit counseling with no further debts owed, they may contact a mortgage company.
It is not so practical buying a house after bankruptcy because if there is no option for you, you might want to sell the house too, but the price would not be the same as you bought it and it is hard to sell one property.
All u need I'd 20-30k to put down and they will give u a house
This will include the ff: Mortgage arrangement fee,Survey,Solicitor ,Searches,Bankruptcy Search,Stamp duty ,Transfer fee .:))
You are normally allowed to keep the house you are living in and one car in a bankruptcy.
Basically there is nothing preventing you for buying a house at any time. Of course, getting a loan, while your not prevented from it, is going to be very, very difficult..and if you haven't learned from your past - buying isn't really done until you actually pay for it.
Filing for bankruptcy may enable you to recover your house from foreclosure. However the bankruptcy would entail dealing with your entire debt situation, not just the house.
Yes, 3 years after discharge of the Bankruptcy.
If you are surrendering your house anyways, it is usually better for your credit score if you do it through bankruptcy. If your house is foreclosed on before you file bankruptcy, then your credit score is hit by both the foreclosure and the bankruptcy. If you let your house go back through bankruptcy, instead, then your credit score is only hit by a bankruptcy.
