how can the path of a light ray be affected once it enters a nonzero angle with a greater index of refraction
Eroison
reflection and refraction. I think
they spread out and expand less energy
The angle of refraction is the angle between the refracted ray and the normal (a perpindicular line to the tangent and the plane of the surface). A ray that enters at the normal angle leaves at the normal angle; there is no angle between the ray and the normal, so it is 0o.
Different liquids have different optical densities and so different refractive indices. They will, therefore diffract light to different degrees.
Q: How do you think increasing a medium's index of refraction might affect the angle of refraction?
by eroding.

The sky is blue because of refraction. Sunsets and sunrise are so beautiful because of refraction. If there was no refraction, we would see the sky as a black expanse.

Taking the reciprocal (multiplicative inverse) does not affect the positive or negative status of an integer. So the reciprocal of a negative number is negative and the reciprocal of a positive number is positive. The reciprocals will be opposites (positive/negative) just as the original numbers were.
If the light is entering from air or a vacuum, the light will slow down. The affect of this, if the light hits the glass at an angle, is that the direction of the light will change.
