We could add HCl to the mixture of Zinc and Gold and see which one appear to separate first.
Zinc methoxide and acetic acid react together to form methanol and zinc acetate
Since gold binds with zinc, you would have to chemically extract the gold out with aqua regis.
Zinc chloride is very soluble in water and silicon dioxide is not soluble. - Put the mixture of ZnCl2 and SiO2 in water - Wait for the dissolving of the ZnCl2 - Separate the two components by filtering
Heat is needed because if you just placed copper with zinc, you'd just have a zinc coating around the copper. The composition of zinc and the composition of zinc will be separate instead of becoming one solution. The heat allows the two to bond, allowing the zinc and copper to move around, and become an alloy (a solid solution) - brass.
Copper rods cannot separate zinc from zinc sulphate because copper is less reactive than zinc, and cannot separate the zinc which is more reactive than copper. If you get copper sulphate and add some zinc to it, you will see solid copper appearing on the bottom of the test tube... The copper cannot push out the zinc from the solution and take its place.
Because zinc is more reactive than copper.

add electrical currentto separate the zinc from the acid in the compound
Well i think zinc chloride is a mixture but not sure, if its a compound then you wouldn't be able to separate it into its normal elements (zinc and Hydrochloric Acid)
Since gold binds with zinc, you would have to chemically extract the gold out with aqua regis.
Impossible to say without knowing what the mixture is.
A mixture of zinc carbonate and sodium carbonate can be separated by washing with neutral (pH 7) water. The sodium carbonate will dissolve in the water, while the zinc carbonate will remain undissolved.
add electric current to seperate the zinc from the acid in the compund.

When excess zinc metal is used in a reaction, it can be removed by simple filtration, as long as the particles are big enough. If the zinc particles are too small to be removed by filtration, other techniques such as centrifugation must be employed.
