There are no commercial websites that have access to this system (operated by the Dept of Justice), it is a closed system. Only law enforcement agencies and the court system have access to it.
The NCIC (National Crime Information Center) computer is a secure, closed network that is available only to law enforcement agencies. It is operated by the F.B.I. and is not accessible to the public.

Contact local law enforcement. Give them the gun, and ask if they will check the NCIC data base (as a private citizen, you do not have access to that system). If the gun IS stolen, it will be confiscated by the police, and you may have to testify in a stolen property trial.

This information is not available on any database or website that is accessible to the general public. Anyone with access to the NCIC system would risk serious criminal charges if they were to answer this. Best thing would be to have the individual call a law enforcement agency in IA and simply ask.
If you are a convicted felon, that is on your record and that information can be accessed by anyone who has access to NCIC, no matter what state you are in.
Criminal histories are a "public record" so, theoretically, anyone can access them if they wish by submitting the proper paperwork (and usually a small administrative fee) to their local law enforcement agency. Of course, any law enforcement agency and the court system, has instant access to your criminal history at all times via the nationwide crime computer system (NCIC). The claim, made by some commercial (for profit) information vendors, that they can give a complete cirminal history record check is untrue.
A Governor's Warrant is an inter-state extradition warrant. This information is not published anywhere that the public can gain access to it, and you probably can't unless you want to turn yourself in. If you are a fugitive, and the wanting state has you listed in the inter-state computer system (NCIC) odds are that eventually will be found.
