Well, to some degree, it is gambling. However, there are subtle differences. In the stock market, you can make informed decisions based on previous performance. In gambling, especially casino gambling, you can't do that, because, contrary to popluar superstition, you cannot make any legimimate decision based on the outcome of previous wagers. Additionally, in almost all forms of gambling, the "house" or the bookie has a built in commission known as the house advantage, so, in the long long run, you will always lose, it's a mathematical fact. In the Stock Market, over the course of a certain period (I think it's fifteen or twenty years), there has never been an overall loss, but in regards to gambling, the house always wins.

if You want to Invest your money in Stock Market, you MUST have good knowledge and information about the stock market investment. If you don't have all of it you are gambling in the stock market.
