Anyone who remains faithful to Our Lord and Savior throughout his/her life and tries to avoid sin and does good works can become a saint. However, to become a named (canonized) saint you must lead a life of heroic virtue and be considered as an excellent role model. Your life and works will be thoroughly investigated by the Church before you are officially proclaimed as a saint.
