You can't, it's a part of you.. I personally don't think being gay is a choice. I think it's somewhere in your DNA. Nothing is wrong with being gay, you should be proud and not try to reduce the feelings of gay.. If people put you down, or try to, just ignore them! :)

How do you avoid having brown hair? Same rules apply. If you are gay, then you are gay and that's the way you were meant to be. You can choose not to act on your feelings, but that will really mess you up in the long run.

If you are asking how do you not appear gay, you train yourself to act straight. Some people simply can't manage that and there is little point in trying. Accepting yourself as you are is the best and really the easiest way of dealing with it.

Once you realize that it is your life you are talking about you realize that you are the only one you have to answer to. Other people will always have their opinions, but that should have little if any impact on how you live your life or who you become.
