∙ 12y agoOne can get patience by the equanimity. According to the Buddhist philosophy, all the emotional feelings can be overcome if the state of mind is in equanimity it leads to peace and patience. In short, to want patience is to demonstrate impatience. Accepting the fact that the universe runs at its own pace, not respecting your needs or desires (The traffic light will stay red no matter how important your meeting is) is the first step towards becoming patient.

Another way is to pretend your friends are VIPs - Very Important People - that you can't afford to insult or offend. Be as polite to your friends as you would be to a celebrity or the president or a king or queen.
