To begin, find a guy worth loving. Being the best girlfriend possible is going to take a lot of effort. If he isn't worth loving, then you will be wasting your energies that could have better spent on somebody else. Plan on giving more than you recieve. He hopefully will reciprocate and take the same approach with you, butbut don't count on it. Be considerate. Be honest. Communicate and be specific. Men might say that the ideal girlfriend always does what he wants and never complains. On the contrary! Don't be a nag, but if you see something that that needs to change, let him know. Be gentle in the way you say it, but do say it. Volumes more can be said on this topic, since every man and every woman are so different, a lot of what would be perfect for you in one relationship might be detrimental to another. Are you dating somebody right now? Ask him what he thinks the perfect girlfriend should be? If it sounds reasonable, try it. If there are some aspects you can't pull off, tell him so.
