Your start by studying pharmacology.
Where I come from, that and some training is all you need
Of course! A pharmacy technician's degree is not a terminal degree, and the skills learned during your initial education will help you with becoming a pharmacist.
Within the US today, a pharmacist must have a doctorate degree (Pharm.D)
Pharmacists in the U.S. have completed a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
I am assuming a degree in Psychology.
I believe most, if not all, universities (and colleges, too) offer psychology courses. You either complete a Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor of Science degree, whichever you choose, you major in Psychology. I believe in order to become a psychologist, you then have to get your masters degree in Psychology.
I do believe that my counselor said you need a Psychology/Sociology degree
Ha. heh ehe heh heh. pfft.
The minimum educational requirement is a master's degree. Most psychologists in private practice have a doctorate. If you are serious and have a real passion for the field, then you should start with a bachelor's degree in psychology. However, if for any reason you do not pursue a least the master's degree in psychology, then you will have to ask yourself what you will do with a bachelor's degree in psychology. In other words, a bachelor's degree in psychology does not make you a psychologist.
You need to go to college and get a Pharmacy degree, then work at various pharmacy's.
