You cannot burn an installed application onto a DVD and expect it to work elsewhere. The installation process sets up many files and makes many changes to the computer to enable it to work. So unless you have the original installation CDs, there is no point in trying to burn Microsoft Word from an installed version. On each new computer Microsoft Word has to be installed or else it will not work.
You can't; use Windows Movie Maker instead; it is a free download from Microsoft.
It is illeagal to burn DVD's because the maker gets no profit, so they are technically "ripping them off"

First you have to Publish/Finish the movie in Windows Movie Maker. Once that is done (and you've created a wmv file) you can burn it to DVD using your DVD Maker.
According to this article on Microsoft website, you need Roxio MyDVD to burn Windows Movie Maker movies on DVD. http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/create/savetodvd.mspx But I usually make movie and directly burn movies to DVD in one single movie making software. For example, Windows DVD Maker (Vista), Wondershare Movie Story (XP and Vista) and more. The former is superb easy to use, but with limited menu templates, while the latter supports more video formats and allows you to customize your DVD menu.
Click once on the "DVD" option in the "Publish to" area of the "Task" section to burn your material to DVD. Click once on the "OK" button on the warning box that pops up advising you that Windows will launch Windows DVD Maker. Click once on the "Next" button on Windows DVD Maker. You will notice your project in the "Name" section of the Windows DVD Maker screen. Insert a blank DVD into your DVD burner. If you don't, the program will prompt you to do so. Click once on the "Burn" button on "Windows DVD Maker." Click once on the "Close" button when the DVD has finished burning. You can also choose to create another copy
You need a DVD-RW disk to burn the Windows Movie Maker file to before it can be played in at DVD player.
When you have finished your project and wish to burn it to DVD using Windows Movie Maker, click on DVD under the Publish/Finish category in the left side menu. This will open up Windows DVD Maker and you can burn your project by following the instructions in DVD Maker.
You must burn to an empty DVD. If it says it's' not recordable, it's probably not empty or damaged.
Open Window DVD Maker twice, first rip both movies from the original, insert recordable DVD start burn in one, and watch in the other.
