Tape is pretty much plastic with some glue on it. Its the glue that sticks to the item you're taping, so when you take that tape off, the glue will normally stay.
Depends on whether salt is soluble in the glue or not. Salt would be soluble in Ordinary white wood glue, for instance. But not in epoxy glue. In epoxy, it'd simply turn the glue gritty. In wood glue it'd dissolve.

My best answer would be lacquer thinner, applied with a clean rag and remove the glue with single edged razor blade. Small amounts of glue residue can easily be cleaned off with the lacquer thinner. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation. If the flooring is non-organic, such as Pergo, this will be easy. If it is a laminated wood flooring, it has a finish that may be dulled by the lacquer thinner and may require a clear finish when compete.
Use wood glue for wood to wood, to glue a cabinet back together you need to remove the old glue so that you have a clean wood to wood contact if this can't be done you can use epoxy glue, go to your local hardware store ask for help and tell them what you are working on and they will help on the type of glue you need.
I would first scrape it with a spatula or edge made from harder wood. Then get the remainder with acetone or lacquer thinner.
Use Goo Gone or Goof Off, either will remove sticker residue.

WD-40 works. Spray some on a clean cloth and rub gently over the residue from the sticker.
Goo Gone will clean most residues off most materials. If it does not do it then Goof Off almost certainly will.
