Over time, with decreased use, all muscles will decrease in size. Meanwhile, if you are overweight, monitor your diet closely and try to lose a few pounds. If your quads are big, don't use those stairmaster machines, they will only make them bigger. Also, try to avoid running. Brisk walking is better. You can ride a bike, but don't use those 'recumbant' stationary bikes in the gym. Also, don't do exercises like squats, or leg extensions. I have the same problem, and a personal trainer gave me this advice. Most of all, be patient. It's not gonna happen overnight. Hope this helps!
