This is the exact job for the Merge tool! If you find a question that is repeated multiple times but means the same thing, please report them to a Supervisor to have them merged.
Anybody can edit most questions on WikiAnswers. Supervisors can delete questions, but we generally do not.
Questions on WikiAnswers can not be deleted by regular contributors. Supervisors can trash questions into a catchall category, but only advanced supervisors can permanently delete questions off the site.
Only Supervisors or Staff can delete questions from WikiAnswers or Answers dot com. Primarily, questions that violate the terms of use or rules of the site are the only ones deleted.
On WikiAnswers, regular users can't delete questions. You can write to support @ answers.com and request the deletion of a question though, or get your account deactivated so that your username isn't associated with questions that you have asked anymore.
You don't! I've been trying because I'm so ashamed of the questions I have answered
We don't but a better question is why would you not delete or report them like you are supposed to
No, they did not.
You can edit a mistake in an answer. You cannot delete a question
The two main reasons for contributors to delete an answer on WikiAnswers and save it are to remove "bad" answers or to vandalize.
You should delete a discussion post on WikiAnswers when there is inappropriate information or spam within it.
Simply because WikiAnswers operates under an 'open policy'. This means anyone can ask, answer, modify or delete answers. If they restricted who could answer questions, there would be no point having the site.
WikiAnswers does have what we call flagged questions. You can flag a question by clicking on the red "Report Abuse". Then select the category you want(Ex: inappropriate) and then click OK. These questions are then soon fixed by supervisors and other people and then fix and delete the flag. The link below has a list of all the flagged questions.
