How can you drain the transmission fluid from a 89 GMC sierra 1500?

if you have overfilled it. you either gotta do one of two things try to suck it out with a tube and a syringe, or take off the pan, the pan would be easiest, but most messy because its full the fluid will leak out. good luck.
