You have to pay only for 2.5 lacs, where upto 2 lacs is nil and above 2 lacs would be 10% (if am not wrong). For 2.5 lacs, (250000*10/100) = 25000 would be your deduction (roughly!) You can evade by producing, rent receipts, investment in lic, paid medical bills upto 15000, children's tuition fees and many more!
