Okay, several reasons....children are born a blank slate and all their behaviours are learnt. So they copy what they see. Either through parents/siblings/family members...or through the media such as computer games/some tv programmes. The only exception to this rule is if the child has a behaviour problem. My son has high functioning autism and social and emotional difficulties(amongst a long list of other things!) He sometimes seems to speak out of turn, but doesn't realise it. He also sees the world very literally. For example, if he sees an overweight person, he wouldn't dull it down and call them chubby....hed say "fat!". He has no real concept of social acceptance and doesn't understand his terms and use of vocab is often quite offensive!

It's also important to remember where your child is in his/hers development. Young children are naturally selfish and we have to teach them not to be.

How do you handle rude customer?

1. Be professional, stick to business and don't respond or make any comments about rudeness or personal things. 2. Keep the contact as brief as possible. 3. If the behavior is very rude or more than rude, ask for assistance - get someone who will just stand there and witness the interaction of you and your customer. This will usually stop the rude behavior, and if it doesn't at least your witness will be able to report that you were professional and didn't cause the rude behavior. 4. There is no rule that you have to accept rude behavior. If the behaviour is sufficiently rude (especially if your assistant can verify that the behavior is rude) you should ask for assistance of someone who has the power to ask the customer to leave.
